Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

What is BYOD?

"Bring your own device" (BYOD) refers to technology models where students bring a personally owned device to school for the purpose of learning. A personally owned device is any technology device brought into the school and owned by a student (or the student's family). BYOD is a solution where students bring their own device to school in order to access learning tools through the school's network. BYOD is designed to give you, as students and families, the freedom to make technology choices that suit you and your circumstances.

All students are requested to bring their own personal computing device to school every day. Devices should be fully charged in order for students to access online resources for each subject. This organisational practice demonstrates to both students and teachers the student's intention to learn and puts the student in the right mindset to achieve course outcomes. In the event that student forgets to bring their device, they are able to borrow a school device from the school's Tech Hub for the day. Devices should be collected between 8:35am and 8:45am and returned between 3:10pm and 3:20pm on the day.
