P&C Achievements - 2015
- Parent representation on the school communications subcommittee producing a new information pack for the co-curriculum program and update the orientation material sent to new families.
- Supporting the Performing and Visual Arts Faculties through purchasing quality sound systems for the Dance and Drama faculties, and purchasing a rostra for the Music faculty and a drumkit for the Studio Theatre.
- Conducting a school working bee, organised by the P&C Environment Committee, on Sunday 1 November 2015, with approximately 25 parents, teachers and students weeding, pruning, mulching, planting and cement cleaning around the school grounds.
- Assisting purchase a new electronic sign for the school's front entrance, to improve communications with students, parents/carers and the local community.
- Supporting the Positive Psychology program at the school, including a parent information night at 7pm on Tuesday 10 November 2015.
- $10,000 donation to support three faculty grants for academic, welfare and sporting activities: $5000 for “LegoMindstorms” Robotics program; $3000 for an interactive projector for Maths; $2000 for outdoor furniture for PDHPE.
- Facilitating a donation of lights and starcloths from Opera Australia in July 2015.
- Assisting the school with archiving material for the 25th anniversary of the school, to be celebrated late in 2015.
- Establishing a new Communications Sub-Committee to enhance parent-school communications.
- Supporting a masterclass program for the Dance Faculty with Ruben Graciani from Point Park University, PA, USA in May 2015, to the value of $6000.
- Supporting the school through assisting with catering for auditions and Showcase performances.
- Supporting the World Earth Festival planning in February 2015, including assisting students plan the event and organising over 100 parent volunteers to help the festival on the day.
- Conducted a working bee around the school grounds in March including planting 100 plants from the City of Sydney, clearing rubbish and weeding.
- Welcomed new parents through a welcome BBQ after the World Earth Festival in February.
